Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation (KIMS), Amalapuram, has achieved a significant academic milestone with the sanction of a Faculty Research Grant by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, for an important research project focusing on the management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The research proposal titled “Clinical Evaluation of the Upper Inhibition Technique on Pulmonary Function, Functional Capacity and Quality of Life in Patients with COPD” has been awarded the Faculty Research Grant by the University. The project will investigate the effectiveness of physiotherapy-based interventions in improving lung function, physical capacity, and overall quality of life among patients suffering from COPD, a major respiratory health challenge affecting millions worldwide.
The grant has been awarded to Dr. Ramakrishna, Dr. Ashok, and Dr. Vijendra, recognizing their dedication to clinical research and their commitment to advancing evidence-based healthcare practices. The study is expected to contribute valuable scientific insights and support the development of effective rehabilitation strategies for individuals living with chronic respiratory diseases.
