Vice Chancellor’s Visit to KIMS Amalapuram

Dr. P. Chandrasekhar, Vice Chancellor of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, along with Dr. Mahesh Babu, Executive Member, visited Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Amalapuram, as part of an institutional review and academic engagement.

They were warmly received by Dean Dr. Anand Acharya, Vice President Sri Mohan Raju, Medical Director Dr. Hari Varma, and the faculty and staff, reflecting the institution’s culture of professionalism and collaboration.

               

Comprehensive Institutional Review

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor undertook a detailed review of the campus, focusing on both academic and clinical excellence.

The delegation explored KIMS’ modern infrastructure, including academic blocks and clinical facilities, gaining insights into the institution’s integrated approach to medical education and patient care.

A key highlight of the visit was the Advanced Skill and Simulation Center, which provides students with hands-on, high-fidelity training, strengthening clinical preparedness.

The Ayuvu Command Center was also showcased as a pioneering initiative, enabling remote healthcare delivery and improving access to quality care for rural communities.

Recognition of Visionary Leadership

Dr. Chandrasekhar appreciated the vision and leadership of Chairman Sri K. V. V. Satyanarayana Raju and Managing Director Sri Ravi Varma in establishing KIMS as a leading healthcare and academic institution in the Konaseema region.

He also commended the leadership team, including Dean Dr. Anand Acharya, Vice President Sri Mohan Raju, Medical Director Dr. Hari Varma, Principal Dental College Dr. Sumeeth, Principal Physiotherapy Dr. Ashok, Principal Nursing College Dr. Swapna Kumari, and Vice Principal Allied Health Dr. Farid Babu, for maintaining high academic standards and a strong healthcare delivery system.
